I guess we need a new sign...
We had our 20 week ultrasound this morning. Baby's heartbeat was 148 and weighs 11 ounces. :) Everything looked great and right on schedule. Super healthy baby!! Praise the Lord!
We decided to not find out what we were having at the ultrasound. So we had them seal up the gender results, and I took them to a nearby cupcakery to see if they could bake up some kind of gender reveal cupcake. :) She told me she would do a strawberry cupcake for a girl and a vanilla cupcake dyed blue for a boy. Later that afternoon I picked up our blue and pink sprinkled cupcakes...packaged just right so I couldn't take a peak.
That evening Brian made me a delicious dinner...herbed shrimp pasta and dilled garlic bread. Yum!! However, I was so nervous and excited about our dessert, I could hardly eat! :)
Finally came the moment when we cut into the cupcake...
PINK!!! Can you believe it????? I am still in denial! We are actually having a GIRL!!!!!!
*after the ultrasound, we both kind of wondered if it might be a girl, although we never voiced it, not wanted to hold out any hope. :) when we first got started, our ultrasound tech kept referring to the baby as "he" and warned us that she just automatically does that because she has boys. I totally agreed and said I do the same thing. Well, after they turned off the screen and made us turn away so she could determine the gender, she would every once in a while refer to the baby as "she" or "her..." I didn't want to assume, but I wasn't sure if she was trying to throw me off or just not paying attention. :) Then they had to "double-check" the gender once again, which has never happened with any of our other boys. We started to wonder....
* once we cut open the cupcake, we immediately skyped the boys in Texas to tell them. Their initial reaction was screaming "NOOOOOOO!!" with huge smiles on their faces. :) I think they're pretty excited but will never, ever admit to it.
*later tonight Brian and I watched the ultrasound dvd just to make sure. I'm still very eager to ask my doctor about it at my next appointment and get his opinion. I want to hear a "Yes, I'm 100% for sure you're having a girl!" :)

You can just cross out the "no" and put "1". That should do it! Love you.
