a great idea!

My sweet friend Christy (who has finally been discovered for her amazing craftiness and has been on Good Morning Texas this past week!!) had this idea on her blog awhile back. And then a couple of months ago we were invited to a wedding (two of our Eastwood youth who started dating in college!), so I decided to try out the cute idea...
Using their wedding invitation, I cut it up in strips (showing the names and important details of their special day) and then curled the strips (around a pen) to put inside the glass ornament...


I then added a little "bling" with some cute rings I found on the scrapbook aisle at Hobby Lobby or Michaels (I can't remember which one)...

and some more "bling" with the letter "B" sticker for their last name...

So cute and so easy!! And now the sweet couple has their very first Christmas ornament! I just absolutely love it!! Now I'm wishing I had an extra invitation to our own wedding so I could do the same for us! Maybe I'll do it anyway...
