Mexican fiesta!!

As part of their unit time at school, Henry's kindergarten class has been doing an "around the world" segment, learning about different countries. For each country they get to paint a t-shirt and then wear it on the day of their party/taste testing, etc. Last week they learned all about China, including the different foods that they eat and the different kind of animals that live there. Henry loved that!!

This week they've been learning about Mexico. So today was their Mexican fiesta...they got to paint maracas, break open a pinata, eat tacos and chips and salsa, and dance the Mexican hat dance. I got to come help set up (decorate the tables) and serve all those sweet kindergartners their tacos. Oliver came along with me and sat content in his stroller the entire time. It was so much fun!! I got to go when Hudson was in kindergarten and knew I could not miss Henry's day.

I just love kindergarten at Eastwood!! Mrs. Stokes, Mrs. Bethea, and Mrs. Cox are amazing!!
