birmingham!

Oliver had his post-surgery check up this afternoon at Children's Hospital in Birmingham, which went very well.  The whole family went, so Brian could take the boys to the McWane Center (sadly for the last time) since our membership expires at the end of the month.  Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa, we have thoroughly enjoyed the museum this year!!

The plan was for him to take the boys while I was at the appointment.  The first appointment (a few months back) took a couple of hours just with the wait time, so I was expecting the same today.  Well, less than 10 minutes after Brian dropped us off, we were done with the appointment. :)  Thankfully, he had just arrived in the parking lot of the museum, so he was able to turn around and come get us.  So we all got to enjoy the museum together!

After the museum, we met my old college roommate, Becca, and her sweet family (david and baby sam) for pizza at Cosmos in the 5 points area of downtown Birmingham.  They just moved to Birmingham a couple of months ago, and I am just so ecstatic she is so close to me!!  So glad we finally got to connect this evening!!

It turned out to be a really enjoyable family day!
