Henry's kindergarten graduation

Kindergarten graduation is one of my favorite events of the year.  I love how they summarize what they've learned throughout the year in less than an hour through songs, chants, and poems.  And get ready with your kleenex because it is just the sweetest thing you'll ever watch.  Especially if one of those precious kindergarteners is yours...and if you're pregnant and highly emotional anyway. :)

Henry did a great job despite his nervousness and not really his thing to be center stage.  He recited his lines perfectly and sang so beautifully.

I am so glad Grandma and Grandpa, as well as Aunt Kathy were able to come.  So was Henry!!

We are so proud of our little guy and can't believe he's officially a 1st grader now!!

This was so cute!  During the spring, the kindergarten classes attended the wedding of (letters) Q and U.   It was a big celebration...the kids dressed up in dresses and ties; there was a reception with punch and cupcakes; they cheered as Q and U drove off in wedded bliss.  Seriously, how precious is that??  (After the graduation we got to see a slide show with a bunch of pictures throughout the year, including the wedding...parents are never allowed to attend, so I never really knew how much was involved).  Anyway, they learned and sang this precious song about the wedding of Q and U and sang it during the graduation.  The boys acted out the groom part, and the girls played the bride part.  I wish I had a little video clip to show you...it was the most precious and cutest thing ever!!  (we will have the full graduation dvd soon...you'll just have to come over and watch it. :)  Here's a snapshot of the cutest thing ever...

Henry's solo debut...

Henry with his favorite teacher, Mrs. Stokes...
I just had to capture this familiar face...

Since she couldn't be there but wanted to be part of the celebrating, Gigi sent money to take us all out for a post graduation lunch.  Henry's choice: Red Lobster!!

And there was even room for dessert...
