Still can't believe this guy is 3 today!! We celebrated with the fam last night at Five Guys...seems like it's turning into a jake birthday tradition...



And then this morning, we celebrated with krispy kreme doughnuts for breakfast...

he's been waiting (or not waiting) for a long time to say he's three!!
opening presents...

We spent the morning outside playing basketball, riding bikes, and on the new plasma car...

That afternoon we went to Hudson and Henry's (end of the season) basketball party at the coach and his family's house (baylor grads!! sic'em bears!!). Unfortunately, Brian was sick all day (turned out to be a really bad sinus infection), so he stayed in bed while the rest of us headed to the party for hotdogs, cupcakes, basketball, fun party games, and trampoline fun. Jake thought the party was for him...worked out great! :)

That evening we had sour cream chicken enchiladas for dinner and birthday cake for dessert!!

A campfire cake. chocolate cake. marshmallow buttercream frosting. graham cracker crumbs. and a campfire made out of hershey bars and birthday candles. :) turned out pretty yummy...




Happy, happy day!! except for sick daddy part. :( thankful we had a family dinner last night. and he was feeling a little better by this evening, so dad got to partake in the cake. :)

I think Jake had a great day! The only thing he requested was the cake, so everything else was pure joy for him!

We love you, birthday boy, and could not imagine our family without you!! You are a gift, and we are so thankful for you!!
