awards day!

This morning was Awards Day at Eastwood school. All the parents met in their child's classroom for the event. I love that each child was given an award, based on one aspect of their character. Mrs. Joki praised each student for their respectfulness, generosity, compassion, etc.

Hudson was awarded for his dependability...

Hudson has had a wonderful year as a 1st grader. He absolutely adored Mrs. Joki, excelled and worked very hard in every subject, did his homework without too much complaining, enjoyed spending time with new and old friends, and most of all...made sure to tell me (as soon as he hopped in the car after picking him up) every detail of their sports game (whether it was football, soccer, baseball, or dodge ball) that day at recess. Hands down, that was his all time favorite part about school! :)

I can't believe summer is almost here...one more week of school!
