1. Hudson's birthday is next week, and for the past couple of days he has been brainstorming gift ideas. Today in the car, the boys' conversation with me went like this...

Hudson: "Hey Mommy, can I have a computer for my birthday?"

uhhh, no. good try though, buddy.

Hudson: "What about an iPhone?"

ummm, no. i don't think so.

Henry: "What about an iPod?"

nope.

Hudson: "Can I have an iPad?"

nope.

Nate: "What about an iPatch??"

Yes, Nate! That's a great idea! We can do an eye patch!

love that boy.

2. While we were out running errands today, I swung by redbox to pick up a movie for the boys to watch. So this evening after dinner and their baths, while they were waiting for their favorite babysitters (Soren and Virginia) to get here (so Brian and I could have a date), I stuck in "The Muppets take Manhattan." I was in the kitchen feeding Oliver his veggies, and Jake immediately came in before the movie even started.

Don't you want to watch the muppets, Jakey?

"No, that pigger is scary!"

You mean Miss Piggy?

"Yes, I don't like Miss Pigger!"

And now every time I think about Jake calling Miss Piggy "that pigger," I cannot stop laughing.
