christmas eve

That morning we let the boys each open up one present...a tradition we normally save for Christmas Eve night. However, with the church service and dinner with downtown, we knew we would be getting home late, so this way they had most of the day to play with their new games and playdough!

Gifts from their cousins, Uncle Scott and Aunt Trisha have become the Christmas Eve tradition...

fun times with playdough...

Pretty soon after that, Brian had to leave to prepare for the service and dinner that evening, so the boys and I were home playing, cooking ham, sending out very late Christmas cards, and then getting ready for the evening.

We met Brian at the church by 4:30 and didn't get home until 9:30 that night! After we got the boys in bed, Brian immediately went to work on sermon prep for the morning, while I stayed up way too late preparing for lunch the next day and Santa duty. :)
