How can this cutie already be old enough for his first day of school??
Thankfully, Henry is ready. He's been ready and is so excited, which makes it easier on this momma.
So now we have 2 boys all ready for their first day of school...
After a yummy breakfast of blueberry muffins and scrambled eggs, their tummies are full; their snack bags are packed; their uniforms are on; their backpacks are ready to go...
Oh my goodness, they look so old!! How is this happening to me???
I can't even begin to think how next year there will be 3 of them leaving me...
Such a handsome 7 year old...
"Enough with the pictures, mom. Can we go already?"
Henry was so ready until we got to the school. The nerves started to kick in (or he could have been tired of taking pictures)...
Once in the sanctuary, we waited while Mr. Geiger (the headmaster) gave his welcome and charge...

And then the kindergarten teachers started first. Each calling out their students' names and leading them down to their classroom...
Somehow I didn't even cry watching the back of that sweet little head walking away from me. Forever...to the land of school...never to return...(at least until lunchtime every MWF...tuesdays and thursdays he's with me)...
Maybe it was because I still had to wait to hear my other guy's name being called...
And there he goes...the one who's done this a couple of times before...no big deal, mom...
The rest of the morning began a first for us...now only 3 boys at home. It was a quiet morning of puzzles and coloring. I think I'm going to really enjoy watching Nate and Jake bond this year. :)
Then before we knew it, it was time to pick up the boys from their first day! They were all smiles, and Henry showed off his brand new red folder, his green light, and a gingerbread man he got to color.
Then a celebratory lunch with the whole fam at Chappy's...

Thankfully I've got awhile with this little man...
and this guy, too...
What a day!! Happy 1st day of school, sweet boys!!

I will have three in school next year too and can't believe how fast this is going by!
