going broke...one tooth at a time

Yesterday Henry was playing around with a jump rope, had it in his mouth, and Nate yanked it...enough for Henry's bottom tooth to become very loose.

So he and Hudson (who also had a loose tooth) wiggled on their teeth throughout the day, even asking for an apple so they could bite into it, hoping their teeth would come out. Well, their plan didn't work.

However, this morning Henry was playing in Hudson's top bunk and jumped down onto Nate's trundle bed. As he fell onto the mattress, his tooth fell out, too. He was so happy and excited!! His first tooth!! He couldn't wait to tell Hudson (as well as his buddies at playgroup today). So the first thing Henry says to Hudson as we're picking him up from school, "Hey Hudson! guess what? I lost my tooth!"

Hudson responds with, "Yeah, me, too!!"

As it turns out, during a baseball game at recess, Hudson catches a ball near his face (or it kind of hits him in the face - he was a little foggy on the details), and his (7th) tooth falls out!! He was able to put it in his pocket and keep track of it until he got home. Henry had his, too, and they couldn't wait to put their teeth under their pillows tonight!

Yeah, so we're going to go broke. :)
