happy 18 months!

my youngest is a year and a half years old today! with my others at this age, i would have already given birth to a new little one by this time (which is obviously not the case this time!). i still can't believe nate has grown up so fast. i am amazed at how much he is talking (or trying to) now! he is also definitely a wild man but so full of joy!

i love how he has an "ama" now, too. (he has used it for a long time now and for the past 4-5 months he has called it an "ama"). just like his brothers...a blanket he must have with him at all naps and bedtime. just so you know, i did not encourage this term. i guess he just heard it so much from his brothers, he knew that was what it was called. fortunately his blanket is a lot smaller than his brothers, so it's easier to tote around.

i love how he gives me "love pats" on the back and puts his head on my shoulder to give me a hug when i'm holding him.

i love how he calls me "mommy!" i love how he gives me kisses over and over again with his slobbery mouth wide open!

i love how he loves his older brothers and wants to be around them at all times, even if they don't want him because his definition of playing is "destroying" whatever hudson and henry might be playing with.

i love how he sleeps until 8:30-9am every morning (even if his brothers are up at 5:30!)

i love how he screams "dada" and runs for the door to be hugged every evening when brian comes home.

i love how he tackles and wrestles with his brothers and "wins" most of the time! i must admit he seems to be tougher than his older brothers!!

i love how he knows all of his animal sounds and says them in such a cute way!

i love that he loves to be outside and is happiest when he is eating dirt and rocks.

i love that he loves airplanes and is constantly looking for them when we are outside. "airmay! airmay!" he yells as he points to the sky and comes running to me so i will pick him up so he can see it better.

i love my sweet nate and am so thankful for him!
