Last weekend my sweet Grandpa Dick passed away. He had been battling Alzheimer's for the past few years. So we went back to Dallas this week for the funeral and to celebrate his life with family.
On the way there, we ended up breaking up the trip into two days since we had a late start Sunday evening...something we will never do again on account of having to get 2 hotel rooms. We're a fire hazard all being in the same room or something like that. So nope. Thankfully there was a free continental breakfast so that kind of made up for it. :)
It was a wonderful week seeing family, reminiscing about Grandpa Dick, visiting with friends, and Brian and I even got a date!
packing up...do we really have this many kids??!!
thanks to sweet friends, a new way to travel...perfect for the kids' duffles!!
