Christmas Eve.
Brian took the boys to the mall today while I stayed home and fed Molly every 2-3 hours and tried to catch up on laundry. We are leaving for the beach tomorrow, and I needed to have some clean clothes to pack for everyone.
I am definitely still in the newborn fog, where much of life seems to overwhelm me. And it still takes forever to nurse Molly. Keeping her awake is such a challenge at this age! So we enjoyed a quiet day at home, while Brian braved the crowds at the mall with five boys. He took them to Build a Bear, where they each got to pick out a bear, and then lunch at Chick fil a. They came home later this afternoon with a Christmas present for me to immediately open. A nice pair of tall brown boots! So cute!! Now I can be a "cool mom" according to Hudson. :) They wanted me to open them up early so I could wear them to the Christmas Eve service tonight.
So Brian headed to the church to get it ready for later tonight...thankfully Parker is doing the service, so we can actually enjoy it together as a family. After church we had dinner with the Mimms' family at Carrabba's...a family tradition. So delicious and everyone did great, despite the late night.
Came home to open up the traditional one present each. Got the excited yet exhausted boys to bed, and then the night really began. Brian wrapped while I fed Molly, and then my poor exhausted husband fell asleep on the couch while I finished up the wrapping and stuffing of the stockings.
