So before I go ahead and tell about this special day, I just have to acknowledge one thing.  Henry's passion these days: tamarins, or more specifically, golden lion tamarins.  All summer he's been drawing them, painting them, reading about them, watching videos about them, and visiting them at the zoo.

So needless to say, it was quite obvious what this birthday boy was all about at age seven!!

We started the morning off with his own birthday sign to color...a golden lion tamarin, of course!, monkey bread for breakfast, and presents!

Then, as Henry's request, we headed to the zoo to meet some friends for a picnic lunch, birthday (golden lion tamarin!) cupcakes, and of course, to visit the golden lion tamarins!

There it is!  Henry's favorite animal!!

After coming home to a restful afternoon, we headed back out to Pratville's cheap movie theater (and at the cheap early evening time) to watch the movie Brave and then dinner at the seafood restaurant inside the Bass Pro Shops, Henry's request...

This boy can't get enough popcorn shrimp!

Such a fun day for this zoo keeper and his tamarins!!
