road trip to texas!

We finally flipped this guy around and put him in a big boy car seat right before the trip, hoping it would help his contentment.  Unfortunately, not so much! :)

My mom flew into Montgomery this past Thursday.  Brian and I squeezed in a date that evening, and then Friday morning we (my mom and I and the boys) drove to Dallas, and he flew to California for a church planting conference.  It was a LONG 13 hour day in the van (with multiple stops to go to the bathroom, including Lady!) , but we made it and are happy to be at my parents' house! 

We're looking forward to the week here...seeing family and friends, going to the zoo, swimming in the backyard, and just being with grandparents!  I've already taken advantage of being 5 minutes away from a Taco Cabana and picked up some homemade tortillas and queso for lunch! :)  looking forward to a future trip to La Madeleine, too! :)
