14 months

loves giving and receiving eskimo kisses. loves real kisses. loves his milk cup, especially before naps, as well as his head on mommy's shoulder.  loves shoes - holding them, wearing them, and even sleeping with them.  is a walking explorer...watch out for open bathroom doors - his hands are attracted to toilet water, especially when it hasn't been flushed.  is also a lover of dishwasher buttons, especially when it's running. loves his mom and dad's room, especially daddy's bedside table...lots of fun stuff to play with but almost always hands it over when you come after him.  loves outlets and unplugging cords, especially the computer when the boys are playing a game. the laundry room daily calls out his name, wanting to be explored and dog food eaten.  the same goes for screen doors - make sure they are always locked or you will have a loose 1 year old around the neighborhood.  loves taking walks on the front sidewalk...not afraid to venture into other people's yards or the street if he were allowed.  loves stairs, but unfortunately hasn't mastered going down. loves to talk but nothing really understood yet, except the frequent "dada," the occasional "mama," and of course, "woof woof" and "moo."  His favorite words by far are "dut," "tuh," and "duh." loves to climb onto nate and jake's trundle bed and play jake's hound dog guitar.  loves to eat legos...thankfully his brothers are good about playing with them when he's asleep or up on a table.  loves to play in the kitchen cabinets, especially those with the cups and kid plates, as well as the cabinet with the trash bags and phone books.  (thankfully his mom and dad got smart and put locks on most of the other cabinet doors).  loves to shut doors, even if it shuts himself into a room by himself. loves to smile at anyone, even strangers, with his new squinty smile that makes his eyes disappear...the smile you know he does to specifically to say "I'm cute" and "you should smile back at me."   loves adventure and challenges.  is not afraid to explore on his own.  happy happy happy.  loves life.  loves his brothers (except when they try to pick him up...Hudson is the beloved exception).  loves his mom and dad.

doesn't love the nursery.

happy 14 months, little guy.  you are growing up way too fast.  we love you so much!
