Is this not the most precious picture of the birthday boy and his sweet cousin, Ella?? I got it from Trisha's blog...hope you don't mind! :)
After a big Easter lunch (in which Oliver literally fell asleep while eating in his high chair...poor baby was so tired after skipping his morning nap) and a long afternoon nap, Oliver woke up refreshed and ready to open up some presents! Well, I think his brothers and cousins actually opened them for him, but he didn't seem to mind at all! :)
We all (including our sweet friends and next door neighbors, The Henninger's) then walked downtown to the river/amphitheater for an easter egg hunt for the kids. We thought it would be more fun to do it there than in our tiny backyard, and we needed to walk off our big lunch. :)
After a successful hunt for penny and jelly bean filled easter eggs, we walked over to Dreamland barbecue (where kids eat free on Sundays) for dinner...a definite deal with 12 kids and 8 adults.
Then we came back to our house for birthday cupcakes. It was a Hudson experience all over again...Oliver wasn't too sure about his cupcake. He tried a couple of licks of frosting and then rejected the whole thing. The rest of us enjoyed the cupcakes. :)
Such a fun day for the birthday boy, and I am so glad we had family here to help us celebrate!! I still cannot believe my baby is ONE and that it's been a whole year since my precious little one was this little...
We love you, Oliver George!!
We are so thankful for you...our precious gift from the Lord!
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. " Psalm 139:13-14
