Around the World

Henry had his "Around the world" program at school this past Friday. In their unit time for the past couple of months, they have been studying different countries...Mexico, Asia, Africa, America and Hawaii. So they all dressed up and performed some songs, dances, and talked about each country. As you can imagine, seeing a bunch of 5 & 6 year olds perform will just melt your heart.

precious.

Especially when your sweet, little red headed 6 year old is dressed up like a Japanese boy, saying "konnichiha" into the microphone in front of a bunch of parents, siblings, and grandparents...

Grandma and Grandpa were even here for the weekend and got to see sweet Henry...

Oliver loved people watching (and smiling) during the show...

Jake wanted to wear Henry's hat...
so did Nate...

Afterwards, they had a big reception in the fellowship hall with tables decorated and set up with food, representing each country. The Mexico table had taquitos and chips and salsa; the Asia table had egg rolls, fortune cookies, etc; America had hot dogs, potato chips, and apple pie; Hawaii had pineapple, macadamian nuts, etc; Africa had watermelon and plantain chips. It was a feast!!

After school was out we picked up Hudson (who had to go back to his class before the reception), and we all went to Chappy's for lunch before Brian and I headed to Sandestin for our "weekend to remember"...
