Today I had the pleasure of being one of the drivers for Hudson's field trip to the Veteran's hospital to hand out valentines (that they had made at school) to all the veterans.
my crazy bunch...
(Chandler Weaver, Hudson, James Hodges, and Thomas Lester)

Such a sweet time, watching those 2nd graders going door to door, handing out their valentines and calling out, "happy valentine's day!" to those they passed by.
After we made it back to the school, I was just in time for Henry's valentine party. They ate pizza, chips, fruit, and cupcakes.

So thankful I had some time with both my boys and thankful it was Brian's day off, so he had some time with the younger 3. After school got out, we met Brian and the boys at the mall, where they had been doing some window shopping and riding on those big plastic helicopters and cars. We ate some chick fil-a (of course!) and subway (the boys love to split the meatball sandwich!), and then Brian treated Nate and Jake to a ride on the carousel, since the older boys had their own fun earlier at school.
They loved every minute of it!!

Brian and I ended up buying each other towels for Valentine's day. We're so romantic like that. :) It's actually the first time we have ever owned really nice towels...as in soft towels. not the old, hard rough kind with the ragged strings around the edges (that we've had for almost 12 years-and some even older than that) that are stacked up in our linen closet. We were way over due for some nice towels. And now our guests won't have to suffer either. :)

JP and I still don't have nice towels. Now I know the magic day is valentines day on the 12th year (only 4 more to go!). It'll be something to look forward to! Give all the boys my love.
It is almost 39 years.. and we have never bought nice towels. We are way over due. Glad you are setting a good example... as always. : )
