These past few weeks have been pretty miserable with just feeling nautious (and throwing up) all day long. Having that bad cold defintitely brought it on even stronger, and even though my cold is essentially gone, the increase in nausea has definitely stayed. If this goes like my other 3, I should have about 4 more weeks of feeling this way and then I will be free, happy, and able to enjoy being pregnant!! Eating is always a challenge, especially if I'm doing the cooking. So, therefore, cooking is a challenge, too... dealing with raw meat is the worst! Ugh!! Smelling the food cooking only makes me sicker. I would do a lot better if we could just eat out all our meals or go to someone else's house for lunch or dinner! :)
One craving I have been having (which is different than the other pregnancies) is mexican food, including the queso and chips. If you had mentioned that to me with the last 3, I would have wanted to throw up, but now it sounds great!! Don't get me wrong...I definitely craved it after I was over the nausea, but the first 4 months...that's the last thing I wanted!! So something different this round...who would have thought that mexican food would help my queasy stomach!! Pretty bizarre!
The other thing that I refuse to drink, which helped me when I was pregnant with Nate, is propel. It was easier for me to drink that than water, but now the thought of propel is not appealing at all. I have discovered that if I put tons of ice in my water, then I can drink it most of the time. Normally I like my water room temperature because it's easier to drink that w
ay. Not anymore...it must be ICE water! Lemonade has helped, too, as well as coke of any kind. Carbonation is always a good thing.
Of course, most anything sweet still sounds good...especially a good ol' snickers bar! Strawberries have been especially delicious the past few days, too. AND I will never refuse a milkshake...a chocolate peanut butter (banana) one...sometimes with or without the banana, depending on how my tummy feels. :)
Speaking of my tummy, it is definitely expanding. It seemed to have just popped out within the last few days! (Although it does seem to be quite bigger at night, so part of the growth could just be a "food baby!") The boys are even commenting on my "big belly!" Henry kisses it everyday!! So sweet...he is definitely the most interested (of all the boys) in this baby in my tummy. He's always asking me questions about the baby, like how does he eat, or where does he sleep? When I told him he sleeps inside my tummy, Henry asked, "in a crib?" "No," I said. "Just in my tummy." He then emphatically told me that the baby sleeps in a crib inside my tummy! I just agreed. This past Sunday he also asked why the baby didn't go to the baby class at church. :) Such an inquisitive 3 year old!
As of last Tuesday at my doctor's appointment, I had not gained any weight. (I might have even lost a couple of pounds since I last weighed myself back in June). Surely I must be gaining weight now with my tummy filling out the way it is!! I tend to not gain much weight during the first four months of my pregnancies, but I definitely make up for it in the later months!! :)

hmmmmm.. this sounds very different than your other (boy) pregnancies...
I'm not implying anything.. I'm just pointing out something..
Excuse me while I go shopping!!
oh ella! congrats on number 4 on the way!
your post made me laugh because i am the same way about water when i'm pregnant...sometimes its room temp to be able to drink much more and then sometimes it has to be ice cold! i had forgotten that!
and you look wonderful!
You do look very cute!
I can so relate to that "food belly" and usually mine is full of Mexican food too...that's about all I want to eat these days...and that is different than my other 3 too...I'm crossing my fingers that means something. : )
I love the picture, too cute, and Henry's questions are adorable!
Ella, I can't believe your tummy has gotten that big since we left the middle of July. You couldn't even see a tummy then. We love and miss you'll. Mima and Papa.

Aw Ella! I'm so sorry you are so sick. You are doing a good job covering it up. I would never have known it when I saw you at church on Sunday. I'm so excited for you all. We will have to get together soon.
Your precious picture is too sweet! I loved having a pregnant belly with a little baby inside :) I will be praying for you to feel better soon. Those nauseous days are no fun. Hang in there! Jillian
